The Golden Ship, a 160-year-old Ipswich pub with dockside roots, has sold at auction for £205,000. Once the Ship Launch Inn, it served generations of dock workers and later became a Chinese takeaway before closing in 2018. The site comes with planning consent for four two-bedroom maisonettes and includes extra land for parking, offering scope for redevelopment in the growing Wet Dock area.
